Regional Sales Manager

LOCATION:   Anywhere

OVERVIEW

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales/business with large commercial and industrial clients. The Sales Mgr reports to VP Sales.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage prospecting activities and provide follow-up on lead generation initiatives to develop new customers.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with new customers while determining supply requirements and objectives.
  • Manage negotiation of contract terms and conditions.
  • Achievement of annual sales quota and associated monthly sales activity goals.
  • Develop new “target accounts” within the specified market segment/ geographic territory and document progress through account management strategies.
  • Possess positive professional demeanor when representing company at selected trade, industry and association functions.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university; have a thorough understanding of commodity supply products and a demonstrated track record of success in sales. A minimum of 5 years outside sales experience selling to senior-level decision makers and a minimum of 3 years in deregulated energy sales.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com
